In the 1890s, reports were made of "a huge green thing traveling like a gray streak." This particular beast spouted water from its head. A reward was offered for its capture, but fear was so high that no one even tried to collect it.

One witness claimed to have thrown a spear at the creature, only to see the weapon rebound from its hide as if it were made of rock or iron.
