According to an anonymous report, there is a lot of history at High Cliff State Park. This particular report said that during the winter of 2002 a woman and her husband had a ghostly encounter at the park. They were walking their dog on the forest management trail when a gust of warm wind passed them. According to the report, it was a cold day with no wind.
also wrote that in the same area in the summer, a similar incident
occurred. It was a warm humid day when a gust of cold wind passed them.
There are Native American burial mounds in the area. The person filing
the report thought it would be interesting to have an investigation done
