Details: The following ghost report comes in from a thirty-eight year old director in Wabeno (Forest County) with many experiences that lead them to believe they may be living in a haunted house:
There have been witnesses to several incidents including unexplainable sounds, noises, and voices, unexplainable movement or levitations, unexplainable cold or hot spots, and ghostly interactions. There is a history to the home and recent remodeling has been done. Here is their story in their own words.
“Me and a couple of my friends were sitting in the living room talking. I have french doors on my bedroom and you can clearly see the doors from the living room. We heard the doors beging to shake, like someone from the other side was trying to get out. I am used to hearing things in my house ever since we found a tombstone partially under the slab of cement from our gargage. I went into the room and checked to see if my cats were reaching under the doors and grabbing them, like they usually do when they want out of a room. They were not in the room. As soon as I went and sat back down the doors started to shake again, I went and checked out it again and there was nothing there. Me and my boys have heard a lot of things in this house from voices of children to that of an old man. The tombstone we found stated the man lived during the 1800's, which is when this house was built. My friends are afraid to come and visit because they hear strange noises in the basement ! and have actually seen a bright light come from my kitchen into my room. My boys sleep with a fan blowing in their rooms so not to hear anything and we usually one animal in each room with us.
I have had someone come and smoke our
house, a native american way of exorcism, so that things would stop. It seemed
to get worse. There is too much to write on what we have went through, but we
have learned to ignore most of what we hear and the noises seem to have
stopped or we just have learned to block it out.”
